One down!!

Ah I honestly can't believe that I'm done with my first year of college! I have been going to UVU this year studying communications and at first I'll admit I was super homesick, but then a ton of great things fell into place! I got into a FABULOUS apartment and I found an AMAZING job where I made some great friends and it seemed like overnight my life changed! I think the biggest change though was my attitude, I came to realize that I could decide to be happy or be homesick and I picked HAPPY :) Now I love everyday and every new experience I have! This year has flown by and it couldn't have been better! Now I'm looking forward to 4 long months of laying by the pool and relaxing with a diet coke in hand!!

My latest ADDICTION

Sooo...For one on my Christmas gifts I recieved a few seasons of Greys Anatomy, and I'm sad to admit that the rest of my Cristmas vacation was spent with my eyes glued with fascination to the TV. As a watched the seasons I found myself growing more and more addicted with each episode, I was pretty much dreaming about Dr. McDreamy's hair!!! (ok not really, cause that would be really creepy), but still!! Well after Watched the seasons that I had gotten as a gift I couldn't just stop there, I had to go out and order the other seasons and see what happens with all the many love triangles! However, the problem with ordering is then I have to wait..and wait.....and WAIT!!! Eventually the day came when my seasons arrieved and let me just say, I was in hog heaven! Some might call me crazy...but hey, thats dang good TV right there!!!

New goal!!

So I'm making the move from Provo to Orem this week (big move I know) and my experiences while doing so have opened my eyes tremendoulsly! While transfering my stuff from my apartment to my car I had a rather large load that consisted of an Ironing board thats a great deal taller than me, I'm a fairly tiny girl, a basket of heavy pots and pans, and two garbage bags full of sweaters. While struggling to carry this load to my car trying to keep my ironing board from scrathcing the ground, a group of guys from my complex sat there at the bottom and watched me as I walked down. I'm not saying it was their moral obligation to help me or anything or that they are bad guys. It just would have meant so much if one of those young men would have simply relived me of one of the many things I was carrying. Getting back to the point of this post...I swear I really do have one!! My goal is to find a man that at the sight of a damsel in distress(Cheesy) would go out of his way to help. To me a true gentleman with manners is ten times more attrative than a six pack and huge biceps. How a man treats me will always be more important than his looks and that is really what hit me today, I've been going after all the wrong things!!! One day my prince will come and I'll be waiting no matter how long it takes :)

First blog...A little about me

I'm an 18 year old freshman at Utah Valley University!! I still don't have a major and I'm feeling the PRESSURE to pick one. I have no idea what I want to do with my life, I'm still a kid for heavens sake! I'm still getting used to life in Provo and living on my own. One thing that I've realized I'm so thankful for is the fact that my mom taught me how to cook and clean when I was growing up, I feel like I'm so ahead of the game and thats just one less thing that I have to learn now!! I totally lucked out with my roommates this year, Shelbs and Lisa are FABULOUS! We pretty much do everything together, including starting blogs :) I'm also so glad that I have my sister living just a few minutes away in Orem. If I ever need a little taste of home I know she is always there for me!! We've gotten so much closer since I moved here, which I didn't see happening for a long time (No offense Lex) but I'm so happy it did! LOVE her to death!!! Lex also has a "Friend" named Andy and he is one of the best brothers a girl could ask for. Lex, Andy, and I are like one little strange family in a way, I couldn't ask for anything better!!!
